Julia Neckman, M.D.
Julia Pettersen Neckman, M.D. is a Yale-trained dermatologist specializing in Mohs micrographic surgery as well as cosmetic dermatology and laser surgery.
Dr. Neckman graduated from Duke University and earned her medical degree from Mount Sinai in New York. During medical school, she was awarded a special research distinction for her work at Rockefeller University and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society. Dr. Neckman went on to complete her dermatology residency at Yale University, where she was chief resident. She completed her subspecialty training in Mohs micrographic surgery, cosmetic dermatology and laser surgery at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York.
Dr. Neckman has presented nationally on her research efforts studying the tumor microenvironment of skin cancer and emerging laser technologies. She has been published in peer-reviewed journals including Journal of Investigative Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery and the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Women’s Dermatologic Society, and American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
