She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Baystate Medical Center in Massachusetts and her residency in family medicine at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Her residency in dermatology was completed at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center, in New York where she served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Kaufmann is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology since 1993. Dr. Kaufmann is also a member the Long Island Dermatological Society and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She presently serves as a consulting staff physician at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NY.

Dr. Kaufmann participates in the American Academy of Dermatology Skin Cancer Screening Program for the NY Mets, NY Yankees and MLB Headquarters. Within cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Kaufmann has a special interest in blue light therapy for actinic keratosis and Botox for skin rejuvenation. Dr. Kaufmann regularly performs full body skin examinations for skin cancer screening. She is married and a devoted mother of three children. She also enjoys many sports and has been an avid runner for the past 38 years, participating in triathlons and other races throughout the year.

Schweiger Dermatology Group was founded to help make excellent dermatology care accessible throughout the Northeast. In 2010, Dr. Eric Schweiger started the practice with a single location in Midtown Manhattan. When he saw the need for high-quality dermatology care that did not require weeks or months of waiting to see a qualified provider, his vision of a multi-location practice was born.
