Lisa Faer, NP

Drawn to the therapeutic and relational aspects of nursing, she earned her second degree in nursing from the University of Maryland, graduating summa cum laude with high honors from the university’s selective accelerated program. She received additional clinical training at Johns Hopkins Hospital on one of the nation’s most acute psychiatric inpatient units.

After returning to her hometown of Piedmont, Calif., Lisa became an adjunct faculty member at the University of San Francisco, teaching clinical rotations at Stanford Hospital. It was through this academic and clinical mentorship that she developed her passion for aesthetic medicine. She began her work in the field at Soña MedSpa as lead nurse and later transitioned to private practice with cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Thomas Munyon. Lisa earned her nurse practitioner degree and completed extensive certifications in facial rejuvenation, skincare and laser treatments.

Her specialties include cosmetic injectables (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin and fillers), Ultherapy, body contouring, intense pulsed light (IPL) rejuvenation, fractional skin resurfacing, laser hair removal and medical-grade skincare for aging and acne-prone skin. Lisa also serves as a research and clinical education consultant for aesthetic medical device companies including Allergan’s CoolSculpting, Merz’s Ultherapy and Myoscience.

She is a recognized Ultherapy expert and regularly trains physicians across the country on best practices. As a published researcher, she works closely with Dr. Munyon to evaluate new products and technologies based on scientific evidence rather than marketing claims.

Lisa is a strong advocate for clear communication and patient education. She believes listening closely is the foundation for building trust and developing personalized treatment plans that exceed expectations.
