What is an online video visit (telederm, telemedicine, telehealth)?
An online video visit is like an office visit but it is conducted remotely. In a video visit, you will be seeing your provider on your mobile device or your computer, from the convenience of your home.
What types of appointments can I schedule as a video visits?
Providers can assess symptoms, make a diagnosis, recommend treatment, and send prescriptions electronically to your pharmacy. Follow-up visits with a provider, post-operative appointments, and various dermatology issues (i.e. acne, rash) are all examples of visits that can be done by video chat. Cosmetic and skincare regimen consultations can also be done during a video visit.
What can I expect when I schedule a video visit?
During a video visit, you'll meet "live" with a Schweiger Dermatology Group provider via online video conference from your desktop, smartphone or tablet. Patients will receive simple, step by step instructions after you book your visit.
