Born and raised in the Catskills region of New York, Soraya moved to Boca Raton, Fla., as a teenager. She earned a Bachelor of Science in medical technology from Florida Atlantic University and received both national and state licensure in clinical laboratory sciences, including chemistry, serology, hematology, blood bank and microbiology.

Before becoming a physician assistant, Soraya worked as a medical technologist at Delray Medical Center and as a microbiologist at Cleveland Clinic Hospital. She later returned to school and graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant and a Master of Public Health.

Soraya speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish. Outside of work, she enjoys creating charcoal artwork, volunteering at her children’s high school and spending time outdoors.
