About Neil Patel, MD, FAAP
Dr. Neil Patel is a board-certified pediatrician with board eligibility in allergy and immunology at Schweiger Dermatology & Allergy.
He specializes in the evaluation and management of allergic diseases, including drug and food allergies. Dr. Patel brings a collaborative, evidence-based approach to patient care, with a strong focus on education and long-term wellness.
Dr. Patel graduated summa cum laude with honors from the University of Georgia. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for his compassionate care. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington D.C., where he developed a passion for allergy and immunology and presented multiple posters at national conferences.
He went on to complete his fellowship training in allergy and immunology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. During this time, he conducted and implemented a major quality improvement project revising institutional drug allergy guidance. He also published in peer-reviewed journals and presented nationally on both drug and food allergies.
