About Lianna Dimmock, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Lianna Dimmock, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a certified family nurse practitioner specializing in medical dermatology.
She is completing Schweiger Dermatology Group’s Advanced Practice Provider Training Program, where she is receiving focused training in comprehensive dermatologic care.
Lianna earned her Associate of Science in Nursing from Three Rivers Community College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She began her nursing career at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, where she gained valuable clinical experience as a registered nurse. With a clear goal of specializing in dermatology, she went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Chamberlain University College of Nursing.
In preparation for a career in dermatology, Lianna pursued extensive supplemental education, including dermatology-focused didactic programs, clinical shadowing with multiple dermatology providers, and attendance at dermatology conferences. She is currently completing her fellowship year in Norwalk, Connecticut, and will transition to full-time practice in New London, Connecticut.
Lianna’s passion for dermatology is deeply personal, stemming from her own experience managing conditions such as acne vulgaris, hormonal acne, atopic dermatitis, and keratosis pilaris. This firsthand understanding allows her to approach patient care with empathy, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to education and evidence-based treatment.
Lianna is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the Connecticut Dermatology NP & PA Organization and the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners.
