About Helen Flamenbaum, MD
Dr. Helen Flamenbaum is a board-certified dermatologist at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
She has been providing dermatologic care to patients in the New Hyde Park area for more than 15 years, offering expertise in medical dermatology across all age groups. Dr. Flamenbaum is known for her thoughtful and personalized approach to patient care, with a strong emphasis on long-term skin health and wellness.
She earned her medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. She completed a pediatrics internship at Long Island Jewish Hillside Medical Center, followed by a dermatology residency at New York Hospital. During her training, she served as Assistant Physician in Dermatology and later as Chief Resident Dermatologist.
Dr. Flamenbaum is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Dermatology Foundation and the Medical Society of the State of New York. She is also involved in multiple Long Island-based professional organizations, including the Long Island Dermatology Society and Women Physicians of Long Island. She is affiliated with Long Island Jewish Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital.
