About Angela Weatherall, MD
Dr. Weatherall is a board-certified dermatologist at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
She practices medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, and also has a special interest in treating autoimmune skin diseases. Dr. Weatherall received her bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Florida and her medical degree with academic and research honors from the University of Florida College of Medicine. While in medical school, she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
She then did her internal medicine internship and completed a dermatology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center and the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Tex., which is one of the top cancer centers in the nation. During her residency, she served as chief dermatology resident where she was actively involved in teaching both medical students and residents.
Dr. Weatherall is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of the Florida Society for Dermatology and Dermatological Surgery. She has co-authored several articles in peer reviewed journals, including a cover article for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, and also edited a book chapter on dermatological medications.
She is an associate professor of clinical biomedical science in the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University. She also has been recognized consistently for multiple years by Castle Connolly Top Doctors® in South Florida.
Dr. Weatherall grew up locally in South Florida and in her free time enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
