She received her medical degree from the University of California Irvine School of Medicine. She completed a surgical internship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center, followed by a dermatology residency at Montefiore Medical Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Murphy-Rose is frequently featured as a dermatology expert in publications including Vogue, Elle, Allure, Cosmopolitan, Self, Women’s Health, Today and The Wall Street Journal. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery and Pediatric Dermatology.
