About Claire Jacobs-Sims, MSN, APN
Claire is a certified advanced practice nurse at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
She has experience in both medical and cosmetic dermatology and is passionate about treating patients with a wide range of skin concerns, including those with skin of color. Claire practices in the Hackensack, NJ location and is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Claire earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Long Island University–Brooklyn and has more than 10 years of bedside nursing experience in NICU, pediatrics and women’s health across hospitals in New York City.
She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Fairleigh Dickinson University, specializing in family medicine, and is board-certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She holds licensure in both New York and New Jersey.
Prior to joining dermatology, Claire worked in pulmonology as a research clinician, contributing to clinical trials involving biologic therapies for asthma. To further her passion for skin health, she completed a post-master’s certificate in dermatology at Florida Atlantic University, followed by hands-on dermatology training in a hospital-based academic setting in New York.
Claire treats a wide range of dermatologic conditions including atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne, pigmentary disorders, hair loss, keloids, rashes and skin cancer. She also has extensive experience in cosmetic dermatology, including neurotoxins, chemical peels and laser treatments. Claire is a member of the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners and remains current on advancements in dermatologic care.
