About Claire Wolinsky, MD
Dr. Claire Wolinsky is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in both medical and cosmetic dermatology.
She is known for her expertise in treating complex skin conditions as well as her refined approach to non-surgical facial rejuvenation.
Dr. Wolinsky earned her undergraduate degree from Tufts University, graduating magna cum laude with a dual major in Biomedical Engineering and Art and Art History. She went on to receive her medical degree and was honored with the Keynotes Award, recognizing outstanding achievement in both medicine and the arts. She completed her dermatology residency at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident.
In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Wolinsky is an accomplished oil painter who studied at The Art Students League of New York. Her artistic background informs her cosmetic approach, particularly in understanding light, shadow, and facial balance, allowing her to achieve natural, subtle results with injectables and laser treatments.
Dr. Wolinsky serves as a Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at Mount Sinai, where she has been repeatedly recognized by residents as Teacher and Mentor of the Year. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
In clinical practice, Dr. Wolinsky treats a wide range of conditions including acne, rosacea, and other dermatologic concerns. She is particularly known for managing challenging cases and for her expertise in cosmetic procedures, including lasers, dermal fillers, and neuromodulators. Her approach emphasizes natural-looking results that enhance her patients’ features without appearing overdone.
In addition to her private practice, Dr. Wolinsky serves as an attending dermatologist at Elmhurst Hospital Center, where she provides care to underserved patient populations.
