About Khaled Abdel-Hamid, MD, PhD
Dr. Khaled Abdel-Hamid is a board-certified allergist and immunologist with more than 25 years of experience caring for patients with allergic and immunologic disorders in both private practice and academic settings.
He is committed to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care and helping patients achieve long-term control of their allergic conditions.
Dr. Abdel-Hamid earned his medical degree with honors from Cairo University Medical School, followed by a Master’s degree in Medical Physiology. He continued his academic training in Canada, earning a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of British Columbia and completing a research fellowship at the University of Toronto.
He completed his Internal Medicine residency in Michigan before pursuing fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Since completing his fellowship in 2002, Dr. Abdel-Hamid has been in continuous clinical practice, caring for both adult and pediatric patients with a broad range of allergic and immunologic conditions.
In clinical practice, Dr. Abdel-Hamid specializes in the evaluation and management of environmental allergies, food allergies, asthma, allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, chronic sinusitis, allergic skin disorders, and stinging insect allergies. He also provides allergy immunotherapy (allergy injections) and develops individualized treatment plans to improve long-term symptom control and quality of life.
Dr. Abdel-Hamid is a fellow of both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
