After earning her Adult Health Nurse Practitioner degree from Daemen University, she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice as one of Western New York’s earliest cohorts. Inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the global nursing honor society, Melissa is recognized for academic excellence and leadership as a medical provider.

Guided by her doctoral research in psoriasis, Melissa’s clinical practice emphasizes autoimmune and inflammatory disease, alongside the full spectrum of general, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology. Within Schweiger Dermatology Group, she serves as the upstate NY Regional Cosmetic Trainer, educating clinicians on best-practice cosmetic procedures, and as an APP Fellowship Guest Faculty member, mentoring advanced practice providers in clinical excellence in the dermatology setting.
