He is a graduate of SUNY-Downstate Medical Center of Brooklyn, he first trained in internal medicine for three years before doing his dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Hutman was in private practice in Montreal, Canada for over 20 years, before moving to the United States. While in Canada, he was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at McGill Medical School and acting Chief of Dermatology at the Jewish General Hospital, a primary teaching hospital of McGill.
