About Tami Santo, DNP, APRN, DCNP
Tami is a certified dermatology nurse practitioner at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
She brings more than 20 years of nursing experience to her practice, with over a decade focused in dermatology. Tami provides comprehensive medical and cosmetic dermatologic care to patients of all ages, offering both evidence-based treatment and personalized care. She is also experienced in performing minor surgical procedures and aesthetic treatments including Botox, dermal fillers and microneedling.
Tami earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida in 2013 and completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2014. She received her Dermatology Nurse Practitioner certification in 2020. Her career in dermatology began as an LPN, and her early clinical experiences motivated her to pursue advanced training and specialize in the field.
Her passion for dermatology was evident in her doctoral work, which focused on melanoma awareness and sun safety education in schools. She presented this project before the Florida Senate, helping to advocate for a successful bill banning indoor tanning for minors in the state.
Tami is an active member of the National Association of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners and the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network. She is committed to patient-centered care and community engagement, with goals to expand skin cancer awareness initiatives and contribute to dermatologic literature.
