Her interest in dermatology was sparked by a personal connection to skin cancer within her family and solidified through years of hands-on experience in the field. Before pursuing her graduate education, she worked as a medical assistant at Schweiger Dermatology Group in Bala Cynwyd, Penn., where she developed a strong foundation in dermatologic care.

Her interest in dermatology was sparked by a personal connection to skin cancer within her family and solidified through years of hands-on experience in the field. Before pursuing her graduate education, she worked as a medical assistant at Schweiger Dermatology Group in Bala Cynwyd, Penn., where she developed a strong foundation in dermatologic care.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Biology with a Minor in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University. She then completed a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Temple University, where she received comprehensive didactic and clinical training, including a dedicated dermatology rotation.

To advance her expertise, Tara completed Schweiger Dermatology Group’s Advanced Practice Provider Training Program, gaining hands-on training in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology under the guidance of leading dermatologists.
