About Tim Richardson, MD
Dr. Richardson is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
He specializes in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, with particular expertise in skin cancer detection, Mohs micrographic surgery and surgical reconstruction. For more than a decade, Dr. Richardson has been recognized as one of the region’s top physicians, receiving the “Top Doctor” honor from Palm Springs Life Magazine for 11 consecutive years — an achievement held by only a select few dermatologists in the Valley.
A California native, Dr. Richardson graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola Marymount University. He earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed dual residencies in internal medicine and dermatology at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He then pursued fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery and surgical reconstruction, also at Loma Linda. He is board certified in both dermatology and internal medicine and is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
Before entering private practice, Dr. Richardson served as an assistant professor of medicine at Loma Linda University Medical School. He remains an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology and American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology.
