About David Martell, DO
Dr. David Martell is a double board-certified dermatologist specializing in dermatology and micrographic dermatologic surgery.
He brings extensive military training and experience in both medical and surgical dermatology to his clinical practice.
Dr. Martell earned his medical degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He completed his internship at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii before serving as a Flight Surgeon for the United States Army in Germany. During his military service, he participated in multiple deployments and missions, gaining valuable experience in diverse clinical environments.
He completed his dermatology residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. During his training, he was awarded the prestigious Everett C. Fox Memorial Resident and Fellow Award at the 2016 American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting in recognition of his excellence in dermatologic research and clinical care.
In clinical practice, Dr. Martell diagnoses and treats dermatologic conditions in patients of all ages. His expertise includes both medical and surgical dermatology, with a focus on skin cancer detection and treatment. He has authored multiple publications in peer-reviewed dermatology journals and contributed to the textbook Comprehensive Dermatologic Drug Therapy.
