About Ashley Alphonsus, PA-C
Ashley is a certified physician assistant at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
She specializes in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Ashley is passionate about providing thorough, patient-centered care to all her patients. She greatly values the trust she builds with her patients and is dedicated to helping them meet their health goals. She is bilingual in Spanish and English, enabling her to expand her reach to those in need of care.
Ashley earned her Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from Rutgers University. She then worked in various fields of healthcare including emergency medicine, outpatient practice and pharmacy while earning her master’s degree in biomedical informatics from Rutgers University.
Her combined clinical knowledge and experiences laid the foundation for her as a top student while she obtained her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Seton Hall University. There, she completed didactic and clinical coursework including a rotation in dermatology at Schweiger Dermatology Group. Ashley was presented with the Overall Clinical Excellence Award upon graduation from Seton Hall’s physician assistant program.
Ashley’s dedication to lifelong learning and the field of dermatology is demonstrated by completing Schweiger Dermatology Group’s Advanced Practice Provider Training Program. This comprehensive didactic coursework and clinical training under several top dermatologists prepared her to successfully practice medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.
She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
In her free time, she enjoys Pilates, singing and spending time with her family and dogs.
