About Crystal Fermano, PA-C
Crystal is a certified physician assistant at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
With a strong foundation in biology and an unwavering commitment to providing exceptional patient care, Crystal has always been driven by a desire to help others and make a meaningful impact on their lives. She is committed to providing personalized, compassionate care to every patient, combining medical expertise with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of each individual patient she serves.
She graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Science in biology, where she earned Dean’s List honors for all four years of her undergraduate studies. Eager to further her education and pursue a career in healthcare, she continued her academic journey at Seton Hall University, where she successfully completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies.
During her clinical rotations, Crystal demonstrated a particular interest in dermatology, choosing it as the focus for both of her elective rotations. This hands-on experience solidified her passion for dermatology and patient care in this field.
In March 2024, Crystal joined Schweiger Dermatology Group as a medical assistant, where she worked closely with patients and gained invaluable experience in a clinical dermatology setting. Shortly after, she graduated with a master’s degree and transitioned into Schweiger Dermatology Group’s Advanced Practice Provider Training Program, where she further developed her skills and knowledge as a dermatology specialist.
A personal history of struggling with skin conditions such as acne and eczema has fueled Crystal’s deep interest in dermatology. Having faced these challenges firsthand, she has invested significant time in researching various dermatologic conditions and their treatment options, blending lifestyle changes with appropriate medical therapies. This personal connection to skin health has not only shaped her professional interests but also enhances her ability to empathize with patients undergoing similar experiences.
