Dr. Sorenson is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon at Schweiger Dermatology Group.

He specializes in Mohs surgery, skin cancer screening and medical dermatology. With a focus on precision and patient-centered care, he provides advanced dermatologic and surgical treatment tailored to each person. Dr. Sorenson brings a strong academic and research background to his practice, along with a commitment to staying at the forefront of dermatologic innovation.

Dr. Sorenson earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Harvard University and graduated with highest distinction from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed a research fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco Department of Dermatology, where he focused on psoriasis and inflammatory skin conditions and was recognized with a Research Scholar Award.

He went on to complete a transitional year internship at Scripps Mercy Hospital and a dermatology residency at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he served as chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology at Oregon Health & Science University, with specialized training in MART-1 immunostaining for melanoma and advanced facial reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Sorenson has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, with his work featured in journals such as JAMA Dermatology, Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. He presents at national and international conferences and remains actively involved in cutting-edge developments in dermatology and Mohs surgery.

Outside of his clinical practice, he enjoys skiing, surfing, traveling and spending time with his wife.
