About Joanna Pham, PA-C
Joanna is a certified physician assistant at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
She provides comprehensive medical and cosmetic dermatologic care, with a focus on patient-centered, culturally sensitive treatment. Joanna is committed to delivering accessible, high-quality care and enjoys building long-term relationships with her patients.
Joanna earned her Bachelor of Science in Physiology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Albany Medical College. Her PA training included two and a half years of rigorous didactic and clinical education across a variety of medical specialties.
Prior to PA school, Joanna worked as a dermatology medical assistant in Beverly Hills, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical dermatology and a lasting interest in the field. Her passion for skin health was also shaped by personal and family experiences with acne. She completed Schweiger Dermatology Group’s Dermatology Advanced Practice Provider Training Program, where she received extensive hands-on instruction under the mentorship of experienced dermatologists.
Joanna is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the California Academy of Physician Associates. She is passionate about health equity and providing inclusive care, shaped by her own experiences growing up and volunteering in underserved communities.
Outside of work, Joanna enjoys running, reading, going to the gym, watching sunsets and spending time with her loved ones.
