About Steven Svoboda, MD
Dr. Svoboda is a dermatologist at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
He treats patients of all ages and has clinical interests in skin cancer prevention, surgical dermatology, autoimmune and inflammatory skin conditions, integrative dermatology and regenerative medicine. He brings a science-driven perspective to patient care and values cultural sensitivity, informed by his Czech, Cuban and Chilean heritage.
A proud Florida native, Dr. Svoboda earned his undergraduate degree in nutritional sciences from the University of Florida, where he also conducted research on the impact of dietary compounds on immune function. He received the Outstanding Senior Award in Nutritional Sciences, an honor given to only one graduating senior each year.
He then went on to earn his medical degree from the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and completed his internship at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, Fla. He returned to the University of Florida for his dermatology residency, where he received advanced training in complex medical dermatology, skin cancer management and aesthetic procedures.
Dr. Svoboda has authored multiple publications, including research on the impact of nutrition in dermatology.
In his free time, he enjoys fishing, playing guitar, staying active and spending time outdoors with his wife, Audrey, and their dog, Mango.
