Yafit completed and earned her physician assistant degree from the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, NY. She then received her doctorate in medical science from the University of Lynchburg medical program in 2019. She earned her master’s degree with specialization in dermatology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Medicine.

She recently published an article on isotretinoin and psychiatric symptoms in the University of Lynchburg’s medical journal. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
