She provides thorough, patient-centered and sincere dermatological care to all her patients. Helaine received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, and worked as a registered nurse in various areas of medicine including dermatology.

Helaine then obtained her Master of Science in Advanced Practice Nursing from Spring Arbor University, Mich. During her three years of nursing school, she completed both didactic and clinical education in various medical specialties, and one rotation in dermatology.

Her interest in dermatology was driven by her passion for skincare and her own struggles with psoriasis. She completed Schweiger Dermatology Group’s Advanced Practice Provider Training Program, which combines rigorous academic and clinical training by top dermatologists and allowed her to gain firsthand experience in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.

Helaine is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
