He completed a year-long research fellowship studying inflammatory skin diseases through a collaboration between The Rockefeller University and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai under the mentorship of Dr. Emma Guttman.

He completed his internship in internal medicine at Plainview Hospital/Northwell Health System, followed by his dermatology residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he was selected as Chief Resident based on his clinical performance and commitment to excellence.

In clinical practice, Dr. Malik treats a wide range of conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails across all skin types. His expertise includes skin cancer screenings, acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and alopecia. He also performs cosmetic procedures including Botox®, dermal fillers, chemical peels, microneedling, and laser resurfacing. He is known for his thoughtful, patient-centered approach and his commitment to developing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.

Dr. Malik serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he teaches residents and medical students. He has published extensively in leading peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Journal of Investigative Dermatology, and the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

He is an active member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, American Academy of Dermatology, New York Academy of Medicine, New York Dermatological Society, Society for Investigative Dermatology, Skin of Color Society, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
