About Alicia Scherba, NP
Alicia is a certified nurse practitioner at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
She specializes in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology and has received extensive dermatologic training and brings a personalized, evidence-based approach to patient care. Alicia is experienced in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of skin conditions, including skin cancer, autoimmune and inflammatory disorders, acne, scars, infections, cysts and lipomas. She also performs minimally invasive cosmetic procedures using laser technologies and neurotoxin (Botox) to enhance skin health and appearance.
Through advanced surgical and clinical training at California Skin Institute, Alicia developed a deep focus on early skin cancer detection and the individualized use of various treatment options. Her guiding philosophy centers on combining clinical precision with compassionate care to deliver optimal outcomes for every patient.
Alicia earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University, where she was nominated as a graduate student instructor for medical and surgical tactile procedures. During her education, she worked as a registered nurse in dermatologic and ophthalmologic surgical settings, refining her procedural skills and learning the importance of a steady hand and empathetic communication.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Environmental Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was awarded a competitive full-ride scholarship and graduated after conducting research at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Before entering medicine, Alicia briefly worked in the technology industry with a focus on data analytics.
Alicia is a Bay Area native who enjoys camping, the outdoors and spending time with her dog. She is honored to be part of her patients’ journey to better skin health.
