About Aman Samrao, MD
Dr. Samrao is a board-certified dermatologist at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
Dr. Samrao is passionate about accurately diagnosing and treating skin and hair disease. She also helps patients achieve their aesthetic goals in a way that enhances their natural beauty and uniqueness.
She has extensive experience in medical and cosmetic dermatology, with particular expertise in hair loss. Before entering private practice, Dr. Samrao served as Chief of the Department of Dermatology at Kaiser Permanente in the Central Valley. She was also one of only three hair loss subspecialists in Kaiser Permanente’s Northern California region. During her time there, she continued to pursue research in hair loss.
Dr. Samrao earned her undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley and her medical degree from the University of Southern California. After medical school, she completed a clinical research fellowship in the Department of Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco, where she studied hair loss and developed expertise in that subspecialty. She then completed a clinical research fellowship in the Department of Dermatology at Oregon Health and Science University, where she conducted clinical trials for a variety of skin disorders.
She completed her residency in the Division of Dermatology at Harbor–UCLA Medical Center in 2014. Dr. Samrao became board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology in 2014.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and son.
