About Amanda Rousseau, PA-C
Amanda is a certified physician assistant specializing in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
Amanda Rousseau, PA-C, provides comprehensive dermatologic care to patients of all ages. She is committed to delivering personalized, high-quality treatment and takes pride in helping her patients achieve healthy, confident skin through both medical and cosmetic dermatology services.
Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science in allied health from the University of Connecticut. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, Connecticut.
During her training, she completed clerkships in psychology, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, outpatient medicine, emergency medicine and plastic surgery. Upon completion of her physician assistant program, Amanda was inducted into the Pi Alpha National Honor Society in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement, leadership, service and professionalism.
Prior to joining Schweiger Dermatology Group, Amanda worked as an emergency medicine physician assistant at UConn Health for two years, where she gained valuable experience managing a wide range of acute and complex conditions. She later completed the Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program at Schweiger Dermatology Group, further strengthening her expertise in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.
Amanda is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She remains dedicated to ongoing education and providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
