About Erica Dommasch, MD, MPH
Dr. Erica Dommasch is a board-certified dermatologist with extensive experience in medical, academic, and cosmetic dermatology.
She brings a strong background in clinical research, medical education, and patient-centered care to her practice at Spring Street Dermatology, a part of Schweiger Dermatology Group.
Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Dommasch earned her undergraduate degree from New York University, where she was a Presidential Honors Scholar, a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and graduated summa cum laude. During this time, she worked as a medical assistant in a dermatology practice, where she developed her early interest in the field. She went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey–Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. While in medical school, she was awarded a National Research Service Award to conduct clinical research in psoriasis at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Dommasch completed her internship at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, followed by her dermatology residency at Boston University. She later earned a Master of Public Health in Clinical Effectiveness from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
From 2014 to 2024, Dr. Dommasch served on faculty at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Fenway Health in Boston, and as an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School. During this time, she was actively involved in training dermatology residents and medical students. She has authored more than 30 publications and has been an invited speaker nationally and internationally, with a focus on drug safety and dermatologic care for LGBTQ+ patients.
In clinical practice, Dr. Dommasch treats patients of all ages and manages a wide range of dermatologic conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancer. She also performs cosmetic procedures such as Botox, dermal fillers, and laser treatments, with a focus on safe, effective, and individualized care.
