About Ernest Bloom, MD
Dr. Bloom is a board-certified dermatologist at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
He provides comprehensive dermatologic care for both adults and children, offering a balanced and individualized approach to treating medical, surgical and cosmetic skin concerns. Dr. Bloom treats a broad range of conditions including acne, eczema, rosacea, psoriasis, vitiligo, pigmentation disorders, hair disorders, skin cancer and pediatric skin conditions. He also specializes in procedures such as skin rejuvenation, laser therapy, Botox and fillers.
Dr. Bloom combines evidence-based medical and pharmaceutical treatments with holistic therapies when appropriate, aiming to optimize skin health and overall well-being. His clinical philosophy focuses on maximizing patient relief while promoting long-term skin and general health.
He earned his medical degree from the University of California, Davis, and completed his internship at the University of California, Irvine/Long Beach. He then completed his dermatology residency at the University of Montreal.
A fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Bloom has a strong background in scientific research and has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications. His research interests include developing aluminum-free topical treatments for hyperhidrosis, particularly for patients with environmental or toxin sensitivities.
