About Joe Gorelick, MSN, FNP-C
Joe is a certified family nurse practitioner at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
He has more than 15 years of experience in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Joe provides comprehensive dermatologic care, with a special interest in complexion correction, minor cosmetic procedures and injectable treatments. He is nationally recognized for his expertise in toxins and fillers and is also skilled in performing advanced cosmetic procedures such as miraDry, vascular laser treatments and the Obagi Blue Peel.
Joe earned a Bachelor of Science in Physiology from the University of California at Davis and a Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville. He is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and serves as adjunct faculty for the nurse practitioner program at Holy Names College in Oakland, as well as at Touro University Medical School in Vallejo.
He is a sought-after lecturer, trainer and consultant for the medical industry and frequently educates peers on dermatologic techniques and treatments. Joe also serves on advisory boards and faculty panels for numerous pharmaceutical companies. He is dedicated to peer-to-peer education and advancing the practice of dermatology among nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
An active volunteer, Joe supports skin cancer screenings through his involvement with the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and The Skin Cancer Foundation.
