About Laura Xiang, MD
Dr. Laura Xiang is a board-certified dermatologist with expertise in medical, procedural, and cosmetic dermatology.
She is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care and developing personalized treatment plans for patients of all ages.
A New York native, Dr. Xiang grew up in Queens and upstate New York before spending more than a decade in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated summa cum laude from Case Western Reserve University, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and earned bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and Anthropology. After graduation, she worked in management consulting before pursuing a career in medicine. She went on to earn her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Dr. Xiang completed her dermatology residency at the Cleveland Clinic, where she served as Chair of Cosmetology & Industry and Chair of Social Media & Outreach for the residency program. During her training, she developed expertise in medical, procedural, and cosmetic dermatology while taking on leadership roles in resident education and community engagement.
In clinical practice, Dr. Xiang treats a broad range of dermatologic conditions, including skin cancer, contact dermatitis, acne, and other medical and cosmetic skin concerns. She is dedicated to delivering individualized, patient-centered care that combines the latest scientific evidence with each patient’s unique goals and needs.
Dr. Xiang has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications in leading dermatology journals and has presented her research at national and international conferences. Her research interests include skin cancer, contact dermatitis, immunotherapy-related skin toxicities, improving access to dermatologic care, and outcomes in transplant populations. She has received research awards from the American Contact Dermatitis Society and earned first place at the Cleveland Clinic Trainee Research Day.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Xiang enjoys traveling, hiking with the goal of visiting every U.S. National Park, and staying active.
