Dr. Cavender earned her medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine and remained at UCLA to complete her dermatology residency.

She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and California Dermatological Society. For more than two decades, she has lived and practiced in the San Gabriel Valley, where she also raised her sons. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, skiing and hiking.
