Dr. Palep earned her undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry from the University of Miami. She began medical school at the University of Miami School of Medicine before completing her medical degree at New York Medical College. In the same year, she also earned her Master of Business Administration from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University, with a focus on Health Systems Management.

She is known for her expertise in both medical and cosmetic dermatology and for delivering highly individualized, results-driven care.

Dr. Palep earned her undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry from the University of Miami. She began medical school at the University of Miami School of Medicine before completing her medical degree at New York Medical College. In the same year, she also earned her Master of Business Administration from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University, with a focus on Health Systems Management.

She completed her internship in internal medicine at Soundshore Medical Center, followed by her dermatology residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident.

Since 2010, Dr. Palep has served as Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She has been recognized for her commitment to education with multiple honors, including Teacher of the Year and Mentor of the Year awards. She has also been consistently named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in the New York Metro Area since 2018 and was recognized as a Top Dermatologist by Leading Physicians of the World.

In clinical practice, Dr. Palep treats a wide range of dermatologic conditions, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and skin cancer, with a strong emphasis on prevention and annual skin cancer screenings. She is also highly sought after for cosmetic procedures, including Botox®, dermal fillers, chemical peels, microneedling, and laser resurfacing treatments.

Dr. Palep has conducted extensive research in medical dermatology, particularly in the carcinogenic effects of UV radiation on DNA, and has published in leading peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, and the Journal of Investigative Dermatology. She remains actively involved in advancing the field through research, teaching, and clinical innovation.
