About Sara Crawford, DNP, AGACNP-BC
Sara is a certified adult–gerontology nurse practitioner at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
A Boston native with more than a decade of health care experience, Sara brings a diverse clinical background and a patient-first mindset to her dermatology practice. She has a particular interest in both medical and cosmetic dermatology and is passionate about delivering personalized care grounded in education and empathy.
Sara began her nursing career in high-acuity critical care units after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sacred Heart University. She went on to complete her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where she trained as an adult–gerontology acute care nurse practitioner. She began her NP career in transplant surgery, gaining valuable experience managing complex patient needs and developing strong clinical judgment.
In 2021, Sara transitioned into dermatology and trained under a Mohs micrographic surgeon in Boston. There, she developed hands-on experience in medical dermatology and procedural skin care.
Her clinical interests include acne, rosacea, melasma, eczema, psoriasis (including biologic therapy), and hair loss. She also has extensive knowledge of energy-based and laser devices for treating pigmentary and vascular concerns, skin rejuvenation and scar improvement. Sara has a special interest in cosmeceutical science and enjoys educating patients on how skin care products and procedures work together to support long-term skin health.
Sara is known for creating a warm, safe and informative environment, helping each patient feel confident and supported throughout their skin-health journey.
