About Shanice Watts, PA-C, CWS
Shanice is a certified physician assistant at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
She specializes in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She is also a certified wound specialist, bringing advanced expertise in the evaluation and treatment of complex wounds. Shanice has extensive training in general dermatology and is experienced in the early detection and treatment of skin cancer.She is skilled in performing surgical excisions of cysts, lipomas and skin cancers, and offers personalized cosmetic treatment plans to achieve natural, aesthetic results. She is a strong advocate of patient-centered care and believes in empowering patients through education and trust.
Shanice earned her Doctor of Medical Science from Pacific University and received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Stanford University School of Medicine, where she graduated at the top of her class. During her clinical year, she received extensive surgical training in plastic and general surgery at Stanford Hospital and Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. She also trained at Stanford’s dermatology-oncology clinic, gaining in-depth experience in the detection and management of skin cancers. Shanice scored above the 90th percentile in all categories of the physician assistant licensing exam, including dermatology.  
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with highest honors from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was awarded the Senior Undergraduate Research Award for her independent melanoma research.  
Shanice is committed to lifelong learning and professional development. She is a diplomate fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, having completed its rigorous dermatology fellowship program.  
Outside of her clinical practice, Shanice enjoys hiking around the Bay Area, watching movies and playing sports. She regularly serves on professional panels, mentors pre-physician assistant students and attends national dermatology conferences.
