He grew up in El Paso, Tex., before attending Vanderbilt University and graduating magna cum laude with majors in neuroscience and Spanish. Dr. Mainwaring received his MD from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he was selected for the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He then completed his dermatology residency at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he was chosen to serve as chief resident.

About Walker Mainwaring, MD

Dr. Mainwaring is a dermatologist at Schweiger Dermatology Group.

Dr. Mainwaring has been published in numerous scientific journals and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. His clinical interests include early detection and optimal treatment of skin cancer and other dermatologic disorders, including psoriasis, eczema, acne and immunobullous disease.
