About Yasmin Hamzavi, MD
Dr. Yasmin Hamzavi is a board-certified allergist and immunologist at Schweiger Dermatology & Allergy, board certified in both Allergy & Immunology and Pediatrics.
With a decade of experience in allergy and immunology, she provides comprehensive, evidence-based care for both children and adults. She is dedicated to helping patients effectively manage allergic diseases and improve their quality of life through personalized treatment plans.
Dr. Hamzavi earned her medical degree from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf in Germany. She completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD)/Eastern Virginia Medical School before pursuing fellowship training in Allergy & Immunology at Northwell Health.
Following her fellowship, she joined the faculty at Northwell Health as an attending physician and was appointed Assistant Professor at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell before entering private practice.
In clinical practice, Dr. Hamzavi diagnoses and treats a wide range of allergic and immune-mediated conditions, including environmental allergies, asthma, allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, food allergies, eczema (atopic dermatitis), allergic contact dermatitis, chronic hives, penicillin allergy, stinging insect allergy, and other allergic conditions. She emphasizes patient education, shared decision-making, and evidence-based care to help patients achieve long-term symptom control.
Dr. Hamzavi has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and a book chapter, and has presented her research at national and international scientific meetings.
