About Gianna Cangelosi, DNP, FNP-BC
Gianna is a certified family nurse practitioner at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
She specializes in medical and cosmetic dermatology and is committed to providing thorough, individualized care to her patients.
Gianna received her bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Gettysburg College. She then earned her master’s degree at Columbia University and became a registered nurse. While working as an inpatient adult oncology nurse, she obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Columbia University and became a nurse practitioner. Her studies consisted of rigorous academic and clinical training in various pediatric and adult subspecialties to prepare her to care for patients across the lifespan.
Driven by her specific interest in dermatology, she entered Schweiger Dermatology Group’s Advanced Practice Provider Training Program, where she trained alongside top dermatologists and gained experience in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.
Her initial interest in dermatology was sparked by her own struggles with acne, as well as her family history of skin cancer. She also has a particular interest in the impact of the gut microbiome on skin health.
Throughout her graduate studies, she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing for academic excellence. Gianna is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association.
