He earned his undergraduate degree from Murray State University and went on to complete dual Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy degrees through the Medical Scholars Program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Before relocating to Upstate New York in 2020 to be closer to family, Dr. Green spent 10 years practicing general dermatology at the Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, Wis.
