Frank J. Demento, M.D.
Frank J. Demento, M.D., F.A.A.D., is a board-certified dermatologist at Schweiger Dermatology Group in Garden City, New York. Dr. Demento is a renown Long Island dermatologist with nearly 50 years of experience treating a loyal following of patients.
Dr. Demento received his undergraduate degree from Fordham University and attended the New Jersey College of Medicine, where he received his medical degree. He then went on to complete his internship and dermatology residency at the United States Public Health Service Hospital in Staten Island, New York. Dr. Demento continued his studies and completed a dermatology fellowship at the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Dr. Demento is the Chief of Dermatology at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, New York and an attending dermatologist at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Demento is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the State University at Stony Brook.
Dr. Demento has published numerous clinical studies in peer-reviewed publications and has traveled extensively to give lectures and courses on many different aspects of dermatology, including aging of the skin, sun protection, acne and cutaneous signs of internal disease. Dr. Demento is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (F.A.A.D), Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatologic Surgeons, as well as a member of Nassau County Medical Society, New York State Medical Society. Dr. Demento is also past president of the Long Island Dermatologic Society.
