About Katharine Ball, MD
Dr. Ball is a board-certified dermatologist at Schweiger Dermatology Group.
She has advanced training in Mohs micrographic surgery, cosmetic dermatology, laser surgery and complex skin reconstruction. Dr. Ball serves as the director of the fellowship and Mohs programs at Schweiger Dermatology Group and provides expert, compassionate care in both medical and procedural dermatology.
Her work in the Bay Area began with a fellowship in cutaneous autoimmunity at Stanford University, where she developed a strong interest in clinical trials and complex medical dermatology. She then completed her dermatology residency at Stanford, followed by a highly selective fellowship in Mohs surgery and procedural dermatology at the University of California, Irvine.
Dr. Ball has published numerous peer-reviewed articles across both medical and surgical dermatology. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of dermatologists and continues to contribute to education and innovation in her field.
Originally from England, Dr. Ball enjoys hiking, nature, sewing, ceramics and jewelry design. For more than a decade, she has volunteered her time with Camp Discovery, a summer program for children with severe skin conditions.
